I began my career in the appraisal industry in 1986 under the tutelage of Randy Button. After working with Mr. Button for 13 years, I opened Brown Appraisal Services in August of 1999. During the past 40 years, I have completed appraisals throughout the greater Knoxville area and several surrounding counties. I am an approved FHA/HUD appraiser and currently on the Department of Veterans Administration Appraiser Fee Panel. I love this career that allows me to meet people and experience a wide variety of residential properties all over east Tennessee. I am very active in the community. I teach Sunday School, coach with the Knoxville Challenger League Baseball and Basketball, as well as coach football at a local middle school. I enjoy supporting University of Tennessee Sports, traveling and going to the lake with my wife Vanessa, daughters Samantha, Savanna (Husband Nick) and son Alex. You can usually find our two dogs, Cooper and Gigi, with us as well.
Partnering with me brings you the peace of mind of working with an experienced and reliable professional, who will be with you every step of the way.
I have been the office manager (aka: Chaos Coordinator) at Brown Appraisal Services since 2016.
I take care of all the daily office tasks and love to keep the guys organized and on schedule. I enjoy communicating with our lenders and clients and keeping everyone current on the status of their appraisal. I have an extensive background in banking and mortgage lending, so I am familiar with all aspects of the business.
In my free time I like to relax at home with my cat Charlie, ride my bicycle, work in my yard, and hang out with friends.
I have been a member of Brown Appraisal Services since 2018. Before joining the company, I attended Tennessee Technological University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I began my appraisal career as a Trainee, before securing my certified residential appraiser's license in 2021. I enjoy assisting clients and customers by providing quality products in an efficient time frame. My favorite part of this job is traveling to different areas and inspecting the various styles of homes. In my free time, I play guitar at church, enjoy spending time with family, and relaxing at home with my wife Emily, two children, and two dogs.
I joined Brown Appraisal Services in 2021 as a Trainee and obtained my license in 2024. I graduated from King University with a bachelor's degree in business. I grew up in Clinton, TN and have worked in the surrounding area for several years. I am passionate about my career as a Certified Residential Real Estate appraiser because I enjoy helping people and connecting with homeowners. I also enjoy exploring the different styles of architecture in homes. In my free time, I can be found at the lake or on a trail at Windrock with my wife Savanna and dog, Teddy.
